Yeng Keng Cafe&Bar
Located at Chulia Street, spot the one that looks like a temple.
A heritage boutique hotel that is similar to 1881 Chong Tian Hotel,
check out their website here.
Anyway I was here for their Cafe&Bar, didn't get to check out the hotel.
The restaurant opens at 8.30-10.30am for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 12-10pm,
serving mixture of Hainanese and Western cuisines.
It is better to make reservation at 04- 2633177
before you go as they are always fully booked.
They made the comments and write-ups from people who visited into newspaper,
for pleasure reading and at the same time as table mat , creative!

Inchi Kabin Hainanese fried chicken, salty crispy. Must try!
Onion mushroom soup, comes along with a piece of garlic bread. Not creamy enough.
Braised lamb shank with spaghetti underneath and sided with veg.
Not recommended, the lamb was too hard and the smell was heavy.
Club sandwich, very fulfilling and healthy. And it was sided with fries!
illy cappucino, always the best.
Huge thanks to Candy for the treat, definitely will be back for their giant chicken pie.
I don't think you want to try their Chicken Pie, Chicken Offal Soup, and Yam Duck! If you do, do it at your own risk.
ReplyDeletereally? I saw people ordered the chicken pie, so gigantic and they seemed to enjoy it, tempting!
DeleteWe have tried it when they were still in the hotel premises. We didn't had much expectation then, and after that faithful dinner, it is a no go place for us. We did not write about the place and experience as it was recently blogged by some other people then.
