The Good Batch Damansara Uptown
An overdue post on me first trip with dee in KL back in March.
Had our itinerary printed out, thanks to the very organized girl.
A slight change of plan caused three sleepy hungry ghosts
whining in the car ride that seemed to lead no where.

We ended up in Damansara, so the cafe-hopping trip kick-started with
The Good Batch
The Good Batch
Minimalist, dimly-lit place with nowadays-cafe's necessity -
Hanging lightbulbs
Cups that added colors and vibrance to the place.
So were the flowers.
Personally think fresh flowers contribute a lot in making a table lively,
as well as making flat lay food photos less boring.

Macchiato [RM8] , Cafe latte [RM10], Cappucino [RM10]
Somebody couldn't wait to dig in.
Portobello Road [RM20.90]
Layering goodness of breaded portobello mushrooms with wilted spinach
and tomatoes, topped with poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce.
and tomatoes, topped with poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce.
Love the layering textures, especially the crunchy and flavorful deep fried mushrooms.
Norwegian [RM20.90]
Didn't notice it was blur on the camera, I'm sorry!
Layers of smoked salmon, capsicum and onion confit,
topped with poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce.
topped with poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce.
Never liked capsicum but surprisingly it was acceptable with this combination.
Parisienne [RM20.90]
Three decks of French toast stuffed with of turkey ham slices
with homemade Bechamel sauce(classic French white sauce made of milk and roux)
mixed with gruyere and parmesan, topped with two sunny side-ups.

I find this rather less impressive compared to the other two but overall delectable.
All sided with fresh greens with balsamic dressing and eggs were organic.
Some other selections on the menu;
I laughed at The Angmoh, they've got a sense of humor!

In a nutshell, food was good and value for money.
Although the price range is on the high side, but I don't mind paying for good food.
This is no doubt a no gimmick yet worth going cafe.
